I have a new pair of PDWR53BTWT speakers I can connect to Bluetooth but do not get sound or a light when plugged in please help

Hello, I have my PDWR53BTBK speakers set up with a bluetooth transmitter and a stereo wire from the active to the passive speaker. The sound from each speaker is the same, monaural not stereo, and I cannot shift the left-right balance. What am I doing wrong?
