what is required in order to connect the phpha78.5 listening system to samsung un46d6000sf model TV. None of your recommended setups will work.
The PHPHA78 comes with all necessary cables. SAMSUNG TV uses a Digital optical audio output so what you need to use is the Fiber optic cable that is supplied with the PHPHA78 . Connect your TV and the transmitter together and you may also go into the Audio setting of the tv to switch to digital and your TV Assistive Hearing Amplifier Headset should be working.

If using with the tv can the sound be heard from the tv and via the headphones simultaneously or is sound only heard through the headphones?
