About a month ago I bought a 2nd PS8KX from Amazon and for low current levels it works ok, with low current being less than an amp. Draw any more current than 1 amp and it shuts down. The 1st PS8KX I have had for about 4 years, and it works like a champ. Before I box it up and send it back to Amazon, any chance it is a simple adjustment like a current limiting pot that a tweak will fix it.
This unit does not have a current-limiting pot.
