About this item

Product Highlights
Almost all 60Hz AC hum is caused by ground loops that act like radio antennae (loop antenna). The Hum Eliminator completely eliminates this by breaking the ground loop, making it impossible for the signal lines to pick up the AC hum and noise in the first place. Unbalanced lines are more susceptible to picking up electrical noise and RF interference than balanced lines - the longer the unbalanced cable, the greater the chance of a problem. Using this device to connect two pieces of equipment is one of the most cost-effective ways to convert between unbalanced signals and true balanced signals. Automatically Translates Signal Voltages to Match Difference in Ground Potentials.

    • I bough one PHE300 and is not working does it need a battery? is not really what you guys advertice.

PHE300 does not require a battery to operate.

    • PHE300 -- Does this use transformers to implement the isolation? What is its frequency response? (Intended usage for balanced outputs of a mixer to drive unbalanced audio inputs of a computer.)

Yes, it does and frequency is not included in the documentation.

    • I had a Hiss noise problem with my guitar amp (Head). PYLE resolved me the problem when I connected PYLE between the amp and the cabinet-speaker. Some people told me that this a wrong method to reduce the noise and is possible that I can make to blow the amp. I would like to know if is risky do it on this way.

We have not tested the unit for a high-level output in between the amp and the speaker.

    • I have a long path (130 ft) between my control room and my live room. I want to send a balanced line level signal from my control room to an unbalanced input in my live room. Can I use the PHE300 to unbalance the signal at the end of the path and prevent possible noises?

      Yes
